CORE VALUE # 5 - SELFLESS STEWARDSHIP

We believe that God has engifted every believer with gifts, talents and abilities that are “for the edification (building up) of the body (of Christ)”, not just for the ‘good of the individual’.

OUR GOAL IS TO SELFLESSLY USE WHAT WE ARE GIVEN TO DEMONSTRATE CARE FOR ONE ANOTHER AND INVEST IN THE KINGDOM OF GOD.

We have been entrusted with gifts, talents, and abilities from God.

How we use these gifts is of great importance to our Father in heaven.

Luke 12:13-21

What do you do with the blessings of God in your life?

Are we SELF-CENTERED, GREEDY, or SELFISH!

Selfless Stewardship is realizing that we have been blessed by God to be a blessing.

It is not about ME but WE.

We are the body of Christ

We are to build each other up in the most holy faith

We are to bear one another’s burdens

We, the strong, are to carry the struggles of the weak

We are called to care for one another, pray for one another, love one another

Our loving one another is to be seen not just in our words but through our actions.

When society, the church or even family members become consumed with self, everything will eventually collapse and fall apart.

Philippians 2:3-8

Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.

Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus:

Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant,

being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man,

he humbled himself and became obedient to death — even death on a cross!

The Feeding of the 5,000

“Sorry, this is mine, you can’t have it!”

It took the giving up of what one had in their possession in order to minister to the needs of others.

Each of us face a battle and choice with the lives we live.

Is it all about serving ME or is it about serving HIM?

Is it about what will I get out of this life or what will He get as a result of my life?

Selfishness or Selflessness
