Mike and Mary Dotson came to Oskaloosa First Assembly of God in August 2007 after hearing the call of God to leave the pastorate of Baraboo Assembly of God in Baraboo, Wisconsin where they had served for over 20 years. Upon reading the book “In a Pit with a Lion on a Snowy Day”, they felt God challenge them to leave their place of comfort and begin a new adventure with Him in a new place.
Mike and Mary met at North Central Bible College in Minneapolis, Minnesota in September 1978 and were united in marriage in September 1979. Upon graduation, the Dotsons served on staff in Keokuk, Iowa for a short time as youth leaders until taking the pastorate in Whitehall, Wisconsin from 1982 – 1986. In November 1986 the Dotsons moved to Baraboo, Wisconsin where they served until August 2007.
Mike and Mary have four adult children, Michelle, Matthew, Michael-Paul, and Marianne, who have all played an active role in their ministry through the years with their talents in music and willingness to serve as needed.
