Bonita has been a lifelong member of First Assembly of God, being raised in the church from infancy. Throughout their 36 years of marriage, she and her husband, Dennis, have been actively involved in the many facets of ministry within the church: choir, orchestra, teaching, nursing home ministry, Deacon Board, evangelism outreaches, M-pact clubs, wanting to serve wherever needed. Their daughter, Angie, lives in Tempe, AZ and son, Aaron, lives in Springfield, MO.
One of Bonita’s favorite scriptures is a writing of David’s from Psalm 63:1-8:
“O God, you are my God … I have seen you in the sanctuary and beheld your power and your glory. Because your love is better than life … I will praise you as long as I live … Because you are my help, I sing in the shadow of your wings. My soul clings to you; your right hand upholds me.”
What an awesome God we serve.
